TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION OF FIRE RESISTANT DOORS DFM GD EI30 EI60 EI90
Fire resistant profile doors and partitions are made of profile systems produced by Forster, Switzerland, a leading manufacturer of steel and stainless steel profiles. These systems are flexible in design and durable, successfully used in fire protection solutions around the world.
Doors and windows are tailored to individual needs and available in a wide range of configurations, including a variety of glazing and fire resistant panels. They are equipped with variable locks and other accessories. All constructions are factory powder coated.
The individual custom sets of interchangeable accessories comply with the test reports and fire classifications issued by European laboratories.
DOORS AND FIXED PARTITIONS, FIRE INTEGRITY AND INSULATION (EI) CLASS
Forster Fuego light is the profile steel and stainless steel system for production of doors and fixed partitions with fire resistance. The system offers a wide range of applications like smoke and fire protection, sound insulation, sliding variants, all-glass design flush mounted metal sheet door, anti-finger trap door, burglary-resistant door RC1–RC3, bullet-resistance.
Profiles Fuego light are classified in EI classes, meaning that they pass fire integrity and insulation.
Fuego light constructions are certified acc. to the EN norms and fulfil highest requirements.
The range of these profiles are used for the following constructions:
1. FUEGO LIGHT DOORS EI30, EI60 and EI90
The doors are available in fire integrity and insulation classes EI30, EI60, EI90 in one and double leaf variants and achievable in wide variety of sizes and finishes.
Available fittings for doors:
– surface welded-in or screwed-in hinges, also concealed hinges,
– panic locks according to EN 1125 and EN 179
– multi-point locks
– door closers according to EN 1154

2. FUEGO LIGHT PARTITIONS EI30, EI60, EI90, EI120
The fixed partitions are available in the following fire ratings: EI30, EI60, EI90, EI120.
The profile frames are filled in with fire resistant glass of panels and sealed with intumescent gaskets.
DOORS AND FIXED PARTITIONS, FIRE INTEGRITY (E) CLASS
* SYSTEM OF COLD PROFILES – FORSTER PRESTO
Forster PRESTO is the profile steel and stainless steel system for production of doors and fixed partitions without thermal insulation.
The system is mainly meant as interior application but also suitable for exterior, where high insulation is not required.
The value U is of range 3-5 W/m²K.
Profiles PRESTO are classified in E and EW classes, meaning that they sustain fire integrity test and are not tested for temperature insulation.
Presto constructions are certified CE according to EN 14351-1/AEV.
The following constructions are manufactured:
1. PRESTO DOORS E30, E60, E90, E120
Profiles PRESTO allow to manufacture of one and double leaf doors in class from E30 to E120, hinged or in swing variant, in both interior and exterior applications, and with top fanlights or sidelights.
Available fittings for doors:
– surface welded-in or screwed-in hinges, also concealed hinges,
– panic locks according to EN 1125 and EN 179
– multi-point locks
– door closers according to EN 1154

2. PRESTO FIXED PARTITIONS E30, E60, E90, E120
Fixed partitions are available in classes E30, E60, E90, E120.
They are supplied complete with seals, glazing or non-transparent panels.
* SYSTEM OF PROFILES WITH THERMAL INSULATION – FORSTER UNICO
Forster UNICO is the profile steel and stainless steel system equipped with thermal break material for doors, fixed partitions and windows suitable for external application, where high temperature or acoustic insulation is required. Thanks to double glass sets the thermal coefficient U>1,4 W/m²K is achieved in standard Unico profiles, and 0,9 W/m²K in Unico Hi (high insulation).
Available variants: anti-finger trap door, burglary-resistant door RC1–RC4, bullet-resistant door FB4 NS, lift-up sliding door, flush mounted metal sheet door with or without fire-protection.
Profiles UNICO are also classified as fire rated, E30, EW30, E60 and EI30 classes, also certified CE according to EN 14351-1/AEV.
Profiles UNICO allow for manufacture:
1. UNICO DOORS E30, EW30, E60 and EI30
Profiles UNICO allow to manufacture one and double leaf doors, hinged or in swing variant, in both interior and exterior applications, and with top fanlights or sidelights.

The fixed partitions in both interior and exterior applications, burglary-resistant, bullet-resistant, with or without fire-protection with very high acoustic and thermal insulation.
The profile frames are filled in with fire resistant glass of panels and sealed with intumescent gaskets.
3. UNICO WINDOWS
Wide range of Forster UNICO profiles allows for manufacture of both fixed glass wall and openable windows having E 30 fire rating.
Windows can be fitted with tilt and turn fittings and operated by handle.

The system is mainly meant as interior application but also suitable for exterior, where high insulation is not required.
The value U is of range 3-5W /m²K.
PRESTO constructions are certified CE according to EN 14351-1/AEV.

3. PRESTO WINDOWS
PRESTO profiles allow also for manufacture of hinged windows, in one or double leaf variants, possibly accompanied by side or top / bottom fixed partitions.

Forster UNICO and UNICO XS (ultra thin profiles) are the profile steel and stainless steel systems equipped with thermal break material for doors, fixed partitions and windows suitable for external application, where high temperature or acoustic insulation is required. Thanks to double glass sets the thermal coefficient U>1,4 W/m²K is achieved in standard UNICO profiles, and 0,9 W/m²K in UNICO HI (high insulation).
Available variants: anti-finger trap door, burglary-resistant door RC1–RC4, bullet-resistant door FB4 NS, lift-up sliding door, flush mounted metal sheet door.

Wide range of Forster UNICO profiles allows for manufacture of both fixed glass wall and openable windows. They can be equipped with double or triple glass sets, fitted with tilt and turn opening direction.
FINISH
All constructions manufactured of Forster profiles are provided powder coated to RAL or NCS palette.

INSTALLATION
Installations are allowed for a range of wall types: concrete, brick, and light (sandwich) walls. Please check for concordance with relevant fire classification and mind that installation is performed by skilled professionals.
CERTIFICATES
Doors and partitions made of Forster profiles have been widely fire tested for miscellaneous fire resistance ratings and assemblies.
DFM is certified as licensed manufacturer of Forster systems by EN-notified institutes from Germany, Austria, France, Belgium and authorized to manufacture in concordance with country-issued certificates.
